the symphony of colors of a market place

when traveling in the far east I always take refuge in a market place.

the fruits and vegetables they sell and the very
color of peoples clothes of which they obtain from these vegetables makes a market place perfect in color harmony / a symphony of colors.

the happy and hopeful faces and the colorful dresses give me a positive energy.

the abundance of the stuff being sold here makes one eager to buy, buy and buy..!
that of course is the main idea of a market place and to meet people exchange news and see people practicing makes a market place exciting .

nothing is waisted here, the beautiful hats and baskets are of what is left after picking the fruits and vegetables. therefore the perfect harmony in color and material .

markets have a music , smell and sight of their own , it is a place for all senses.

do visit some to experience it.

more than a wall

the definition of a wall is , a solid structure that
defines and protects an area.

the word protection already wakes the image of
solidness in your thoughts.

however people with some creative imagination can form the function of the wall into an artistic piece of work. take the one I have seen in the western mountains in turkey, where with removing some stones you get two functions , pets and chickens and rain water pass through
without serious problems, genius and dynamic to look at.

or take the ones I have seen in ireland a stone sculpture , almost transparent. or the one in
vietnam , looking at it from the top makes you wonder if they expect you to see from there .....
it is a curved sculpture .

they all are define and protect an area , but with some extra thought and an artistic dimension.

walls are dynamic sculptures in the nature try and find some it`s fun.

virtuosity of carpenters

without loving what you do it would be impossible to
produce this masterpiece.
one of the jewels I have ever seen in my numerous travels around the world is in kizhi island in karelia, russia.

this church of the transfiguration built in 1714 demonstrates the masterwork of periods carpenters, who were able to construct these very complex shapes and amazingly harmonious curves of twenty two
onion shaped domes clad in aspen wood tiles without even using a single nail.

this island is an example of a civilization based on wood and the wood came from far away.

this is why I argue that you can not achieve a work like this without love , love of what you
do ......

a great place to visit.
